Since I’ve been so into astrology for the last few months and it’s been helping me with self-acceptance, acceptance of others and the past I got this idea to buy a hard cover notebook to create an Ancestral Tome, with the intention of putting within the handful of charts which are from my own family, and then my own, as well as some of my old partners, in that order. I added past partners because who you date and who you’re involved with is affected significantly by your ancestors and connecting the dots this way between them and your family means something. I’ve been so excited to share this with you because it feels very significant.
As with all of my projects that require a notebook, if it doesn’t come in black I make it black. So this is the notebook I chose before I covered it.
And this is the notebook after I put the cover on it. I often like to use a black paint marker on the black cardstock because it fades over time and creates a hidden-like effect on the title.
I created a video to show you how I made the cover (and you can use any color cardstock to do this).
After making the cover I photocopied old images of the last three generations in my family to put on the inside cover, to add the familal energy to the Tome.
Then I covered the images with self-adhesive sheets to ensure they don’t get ripped or loosen over time.
Since I have been going through this period of piecing together many people’s charts, looking up their birthdays from the past, etc. I have found many synchronicities, things I could have never known if I hadn’t done this work. I noticed one person I dated (who changed the trajectory of my life because of how karmic it was) had a 6 planet stellium in their birth chart just like my father. A stellium is a cluster of planets within one house/life area in your chart. If you watched Session I of The Body is an Oracle you know that each archetype in each house means something different. To have a cluster in one space as well as in one archetype can mean overdrive when it comes to who you are, how you are and what you’re here to do. It can also mean (and if you’re doing The Body is an Oracle program you will find this out in Session 4) that certain parts of the year, every year, will be significant and stand out from the rest of your year. You can read about stelliums through the houses here if you know someone who has this and want to learn more.
Another thing I noticed is that one of my parent’s Venus sign is the same sign I tend to date a lot of, and the heartbreak experienced is strongly linked to that. I also found out more about other family members and my connections through this work. Their Chirons and moons all play in significantly when it comes to how I am, who I am and people I am romantic with. Just like I discussed in the article on Chiron, you don’t need to know birth time to find out someone’s moon sign. Even just knowing the Chiron and moon signs of your family can yield a ton of information you never had before about patterns and what you’ve taken on or endured. To find out moon signs you can go to this website and scroll all the way to the bottom, find the year they were born and click on it. Then scroll back to the top and click the month, and then scroll down to find the date they were born. This will give you their moon sign and is all about the way they handle emotions/feelings. Emotions and feelings are energy, so this is why you can connect it back to you. On occasion you will see two signs on the date because after a certain time the moon may change signs and you will ask how do I know what their moon sign is then? I will say trust me you can guess between the two if you really know the person because it’s either one or the other.
You certainly don’t have to create this Tome for the purpose of putting astrology inside, it’s just what I’m doing for mine. Any info you gather that pertains to you because of them can be put in here in an effort to understand more deeply who you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going. That’s ultimately what this project is about.
