I have always been into the occult. When I was in grammar school I bought Raymond Buckland’s book on Practical Magic, and got to work on getting a crush to notice me. I don’t remember if it worked, but I know that I’ve always believed in magick, and that’s magick with a “k” to differentiate between what Houdini did versus what involves your will and intention.
In 2016 a friend brought me to a reader. I had many readings before this time, but it was only because I was about to enter into a major transformation in my life that a very serious relationship with a reader (and a few others) would begin to develop. Despite having weird experiences in the past, I never didn’t believe, so this is a path I have been comfortable taking. The woman from 2016 helped me hone in on what I needed to change about myself in order to begin to create the life I really wanted to live. And this is what is so beautiful about readers. If you want to change, if you’re willing to put in the work, if you can set your ego aside and really listen and trust someone else, and if you believe in something bigger than yourself, working with a reader will open your life up in ways you can’t even begin to imagine. OR at the very least, they will help you let go. We all need to let go of things, whether it’s that fucked relationship we know we should have been out of years ago, a career where we are literally slaving away for no type of pleasure or reward, or actual pain/anger/trauma we are holding onto and poisoning ourselves with through thoughts and actions. Another contribution a reader can make to your life is helping you learn about who you are. Sometimes it’s hard to navigate things because we’ve never taken a look beyond ourselves, our own ego, the egos of our immediate family, friends or society even. We don’t think there is more than that, but there is.
After 2016 I began to see how I could advance my own trajectory by connecting with others who had these specific gifts, and they varied. I will go down the line of my experiences and provide contact info so you too can make a connection if you feel so called. These are my spiritual advisors and when I have the means/need I turn to them for support. They have all played a really important part in my soul’s expansion.
Kat is a medium so she connects with those that have passed but also your spirit guides in a very specific way. She can channel them and pass along what messages they have for you. She is a very straightforward/blunt/honest person and will not sugar coat a thing. If you need to hear it, you’ll hear it from her. She helped me bulldoze through years of trauma and become stronger in the process. She has a way of lighting a fire under you that makes you want to be better and if you need to know the truth about something she’s the person to talk to. I credit having come such a long way emotionally and intellectually because of her guidance/teachings. In conjunction with goddess Hecate, Kat helped me work through my abandonment/love addiction issues which I struggling with so badly in the past. “You have to let him go to become the woman you need to be” is still one of the most profound things she ever said to me.
Stefanie is a tarot reader and astrologist but also connects with her intuition and sees things you may not. Her tarot deck, The Moon Void Tarot is the deck that was my entryway into the occult and entire lifestyle - when I was starting out as a baby witch in 2018 I stumbled upon her work and it helped me embrace who I am. Through her guidance I have been able to be more true to myself. Being so inclusive and open she encourages you to not be afraid of what is real for you - even if that’s so different than what society expects - whether it is alternative style of living, dating, or following your career path. She has a way of really opening you up to possibilities you might not have given yourself permission to dream about before, and she is so down to earth/a real person, which makes her relatable.
I have had several Akashic record readings with Moriah. The Book of Akashic Records holds basically the past, present and future of every human being. Everything that was ever said, thought, done, and emotionally felt or intended is in this Book. Moriah “open(s) your personal records, to access your vibrational imprint and spirit team, for your highest good.” That is taken from her website. But I have gone to Moriah with questions about my family, dating life, etc. She has told me things about myself that I was never aware of such as why I am so deeply attracted to women or the series of past lives I have had with one parent which is why our connection is what it is versus past lives of my other parent who because of them was so brutal during my childhood. She also once went into detail about why Lana Del Rey and I have such a special connection. There are spiritual reasons and answers to every question you have about your life which is why readers can also be so helpful. Moriah is also very patient and gentle in her ways and words.
Caroline is a Reiki healer and “teaches others how to feel their way through emotion, assists in moving energy, offers clarity and guidance, and shows people where their abilities are and how to use them.” That is from her website. Not just a healer, but also a psychic, Caroline was able to connect with a family member (now dead) and explain why they were so abusive/inappropriate. We also went through each legacy - all the last names I am attached to - and what energies each of them hold and why. She does a lot of ancestry work/family patterning with you, looking into the past to inform you of what you are holding in your body. She can also guide you towards seeing things in meditation if you are open enough. This can change your perspective and help you let go of situations such as grief or heartache. There are many people I know of that benefited greatly from multiple sessions with her, but even if you can only see her for one session, it is worth it.
So how much does getting a reading cost? Anywhere from 50.00-200.00 plus a tip. In my experience it is entirely worth it, and if you develop a relationship it is even more rewarding. Remember also, that this is less about predicting your future (because anything can change as you and others have free will), and more about guiding you toward an authentic path that not only works but also fits who you really are. Note: None of these people knew that I was including them in this post, this is truly to share my own experiences and connect you with the right people if you need it.
